PLANT MANAGER (Wapakoneta, OH) Utilize technical engineering knowledge to oversee all production activities associated with manufacturing compounded plastic pellets in the required quantity, quality and within customer specifications. Manage all processes equipment, safety and housekeeping for the plant and meet production quality and quantity standards. Buy new and used production machines and equipment and maintain thorough knowledge of all extrusion processes and equipment. Report any process or equipment problems to the VP of Manufacturing. Determine requirements for projects and major purchases for the plant and evaluate supplier's proposals to determine best options for division. Review purchase orders and bills for division. Oversee daily production rates and machine downtown, monitoring and investigating production problems. Troubleshoot problems and eliminate bottlenecks in production. Participate in monthly safety meetings and perform audits as scheduled by the Safety Department. Minimum of Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related technical field and two years of quality engineering experience with compounding extrusion processes for polypropylene and polyethylene products in the plastics industry required.
