NOTICE OF PROPOSED MAJOR UTILITY FACILITY AEP Ohio and AEP Ohio Transmission Co. Inc. announced the proposed Wapakoneta Area Improve- ments Project in July. The improvements involve building approximately 15 miles of 138-kilovolt lkvl transmission line, building two substations and expanding a substation. UNIOPOLIS A proposed transmission line route has been selected on the east portion of the project between the planned Gristmill and Gemini substations. The selection of the proposed route follows an open house that took place in July to provide the public with detailed information about the project and arn opportunity to comment. Route options between the Gemini and West Moulton substations on the west portion of the project remain under evaluation WAPAKONETA WEST MOULTON SUBSTATION GRISTMILL SUBSTATION ST MARYS The east portion invoves building the Gristmill Substation, building approximately 25 miles of 345-kV transmission line to bring power to the Gristmll Substation and building approximately 4 miles of 138-kV transmission line between the Gristmill and Gemini substations GEMINI SUBSTATION STUDY SEGMENTS FOR THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE PROJECT ARE STILL UNDER REVIEW Development of the project is taking place in coordi- nation with the city of Wapakoneta and its electric department. The improvements are expected to bolster electric service reliability for customers and support economic development. The Letter of Notification to construct, operate and maintain these facilities is pending before the OPSB The Letter of Notification to construct, operate and maintain the Gemini Substation was filed on Nov. 19,2018 and is pending before the OPSB The OPSB will accept motions to intervene in the Letter of Notification up to 10 days following the publication date of this notice.
