Career Technical WELDING INSTRUCTOR WANTED Tri Star Career Compact (7655 State Route 703, Celina, OH) is accepting applications for the position of Welding Instructor for the 2020-21 school year. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of five years of experience in the welding field and a high school diploma or GED AND be willing to obtain a teaching license OR hold a valid teaching license in the career field. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree a plus. Candidate's knowledge base and teaching ability should include but not be limited to GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, and TIG welding with the ability to weld in a variety of positions as well as with a variety of materials. Must be able to teach general shop and welding safety, blueprint reading, oxyacetylene cutting, carbon arc gouging, and plasma cutting. Candidates should have knowledge in the latest industry standards and requirements. Position demands excellent organizational skills, excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work with students of all skill levels, ability to meet deadlines and teach employability skills. Candidate should enjoy working with people, must work with other Tri Star programs for cross program teaching, and work well with local companies and Tri Star member schools.
